Posting and participation policy for the Facebook groups Cattledog Publishing- The Legacy of Dr. Yin, and Low Stress Handling Certified – Silver Level, as well as the affiliated page Low Stress Handling of Dogs & Cats, has been updated. All posts, comments, questions, images and links must adhere to the following rules and regulations:

  • This group is for discussion, techniques, questions, products, courses or ideas related to Dr. Sophia Yin’s Low Stress Handling ® work only. All posts, comments, questions, images and links must be relevant to Low Stress Handling® or to techniques pioneered by Dr. Yin. Aversive or “positive punishment” training practitioners, methods and tools, such as shock collars, are strictly prohibited.
        
  • Do not request or offer veterinary advice, drug, drug dosage or medical procedure recommendations.
       
  • Blocking page or group administrator or moderators will be grounds for immediate removal.
       
  • Respect the rules; they are here for a reason.
       
  • Please ask questions. This is a learning space and questions are encouraged. Respect each other. Please act in a calm, respectful and reasonable way keeping in mind we all have different experiences and education levels. What may be an “obvious” or “stupid” question to you, may be helpful to others.
       
  • Please do not delete your posts after they have been answered, even if you don’t like the answers. Your question may help others learn. If you have privacy concerns, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
       
  • Please use the “Report to Admin” feature if you have an issue with a post or comment, and detail your concern.
       
  • No politics of any kind whatsoever. The use of politically charged word/insults will be grounds for immediate removal.
       
  • Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism and other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated and are considered grounds for immediate removal; comments about known and documented breed traits, such as “X breed of dog can get bored easily” is not considered discrimination.
       
  • Contacting other members by Direct Message, whether to promote or encourage training methods, to solicit work, to continue an argument, to harass or stalk them, or for any reason without their direct permission will be grounds for immediate removal. Please do not Direct Message administrators or moderators for training or medical advice.
       
  • Advertising or promotions are limited to CattleDog Publishing and their affiliated companies. No other advertising or promotions of any kind are permitted.
       
  • Fundraisers, with the exception of the Dr. Sophia Yin Memorial Fund managed through the VIN Foundation; “GoFundMe” type pleas; and rescue/rehome posts are prohibited.
      
  • Do not give training advice unless you are a certified Low Stress Handling® professional, a Board Certified Veterinary Behaviorist or a Board Certified Veterinary Technician Specialist. Please refer to rules 10 and 11.
       
  • Constructive input on anything to do with the group is encouraged and welcome.
