Handling Moving and Restraining Small and Medium-sized Dogs with Skill and Ease

2.5 CE units available after the completion of the test.

Force is often used to restrained small and medium sized dogs due to their size, causing them to struggle defensively. Procedures then take longer, and patients become more difficult with each visit. In this lab, you will learn a variety of holds and be able to identify the directions of movement they control. You can then adapt quickly to the situation and to the dog’s response, creating more cooperative, calm future patients.
